Medical ethics has been defined as the systematic activity by which the concept, assumption, beliefs, attitudes, reasons and arguments, concerning medico-moral decision making are scrutinize analytically with logical assumption.

Medical Council of India has published a policy for medical practitioners issued as the code of Medical Ethics which testifies that a physician is expected to uphold the dignity and honor of his profession. Also  it states that a physician should associate with the medical societies and spare his time, energy and means in order to enabling the societies to represent the idea of the profession. In addition, it goes on to add that a  physician should expose with out fear or favor, incompetent or corrupt, dishonest or unethical conduct on the part of the member of the profession.
